For window boards with horns, enter only your final inside-reveal measurements after deducting 5mm from the length and 3mm from the depth. Do not add any extra for the horns or front overhang—we add these when making your board.

For boards without horns, the measurements you enter will be the finished overall size.

Care & Maintenance

Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry promptly. Avoid harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners and standing water. Use protective trays beneath plant pots and wipe away condensation to help protect the waxed finish.

Finish your windows with the warmth and character of solid wood. Our made-to-measure pine window boards are handmade in West Sussex and finished with Browning Wax for a rich, rustic appearance that highlights the natural grain and knots.

Ideal for kitchens, bedrooms and living rooms, each board is made to your supplied measurements, with gently softened exposed edges and a choice of two styles.

Choose your style

  • With horns: traditional projecting ends extend approximately 60mm beyond the reveal on each side, with an approximately 50mm front projection. Square cuts allow the board to fit around the window reveal corners.

  • Without horns: a plain rectangular board with straight ends, designed to sit between the window reveal walls. 50mm front projection.

How to measure

  1. Measure the length inside your window reveal, then deduct 5mm.

  2. Measure the depth of your window reveal, then deduct 3mm.

  3. Select the correct size bands and enter these final measurements in millimetres in the measurement boxes.

For boards with horns, your entered length and depth refer to the section fitting inside the reveal. We add the projecting horns and front projection shown in the dimension guide.

For boards without horns, your entered measurements are the finished overall length and depth of the rectangular board.

Important: We make your board to the final measurements you provide. We do not make any further fitting deductions. Please check your measurements and selected size bands carefully before ordering, as you are responsible for ensuring they are correct.

Every board has its own grain pattern, knots and colour variations. These natural features, along with the rustic texture, make each piece unique. Your board may vary slightly from the photographs.
